Ok, so here is my last blog for my New Kids concert road trip experience. :(
The second night of our road trip we went to Kansas City. We rented a car and drove from St. Louis to Kansas City. We had fun listening to their music in the car and talking about the night before. It would have been fun to record our conversations in the car to have for the future. We were cracking each other up talking about our new kid boys, some of which would not have been appropriate for underage ears, hehe!
Ok, on to the Meet & Greet. We get to the venue and it is raining and cold and we had to wait outside for a bit which stunk but oh well. We get into the room, which was super small and had to fit about 200 girls. So.... needless to say it was cramped. We were one of the first ones in so we got a table and we were gonna be in the second group to see them Yay! By now we are experts and knowing how to get what we want, and people would ask us about how things would go so we felt pretty cool that we knew the ropes, haha! We also meet up with some girls that we had met in Dallas and on the New Kid boards and hung out with them.
When it was our turn to go in and meet them (again) we realized there was only 5 girls in our group. SCORE!! More face time with the guys!! Yes! I of course immediately go to Jordan and give him yet another hug and he said "Hey it's you, you're back" As we were hugging told him this is our last night of our New Kids road trip. He said "Awww" and gave me a sad face then smiled. I thanked him for doing this and he said "You're welcome, we love it" I then hugged Jon and then turned to see Joe and he said "Hey I know you" I hugged him and told him the same thing about it being the end of our New Kids road trip.
It was time for the picture and I stood in between Jordan & Joe and had my arms around both of their shoulders. I had heard that Jordan sometimes likes to say funny things or do a funny pose during the pics so I asked him what silly thing we were gonna say. He said "Oh you wanna say something funny ok we can do that" He didn't say anything at first but then right before the picture he said "Balls" Hahahahahaha! I just laughed. Then for the second picture I noticed that both of my arms were shaking so I had to tell myself to calm down. Right before the second pic Jordan said "Sweaty Balls" hahaha, nice huh! Joe and I laughed and i said "did you just say sweaty balls?" So thank you Jordan for making it interesting!
This Meet & Greet was the shortest, I think they were running behind so after the pic they started asking us to leave, I was like "nooooooooooo, not yet" So I hugged Jordan again and said thank you and walked over to hug Danny too. I then saw Donnie and he said "There she is" so they did remember us from the night before. Yey!! We hugged and I thanked him and told them all to have a good show. I was the last to walk out and as I was I heard Jordan say "Hey girl" so I turned and he was looking at my butt. Now I'm not saying I have a good but or anything like that but it did make me feel good. Who knows if he was just being nice, who cares. It made my night, heck it made my year!!! haha All I could think to say back was "Heeeeeyyyyy" Hopefully I didn't sound retarded, it all happened so fast that that's just what came out of my mouth. Oh well, it is what it is.
By this time we had not got our tickets yet so Tracy went to get them and as she was coming back in the room she had kind of a weird look on her face so I was worried about our seats. She then held up her hand and made the number 2 with them. I ran over and hugged her and was like YES!!!!! 2nd row, awesome. We weren't exactly sure where on second row they were so we were anxious to get inside and find out. When we got inside we found our seats and they were very close and on the side we wanted. We were sooooooo happy, this was the closest seats we had gotten for all of our concerts. Before the concert started i kept thinking how this was our last one and started to get a little sad but told myself not to cry yet. Yes.... we cry over these boys, we can't help it. We have loved them since we were 13.
The show starts and we told each other that we were gonna soak in as much as we could so I took less pictures and just tried to remember every moment. I'm glad I did. Since we were so close we had lots of eye contact with the guys. I loved it. One time Jordan looked right at me and pointed and smiled, Tracy had just turned so she saw it and I turned to her and she said "I know I saw it", and gave me a big smile I screamed a little and teared up but I held it together. haha! We ran to the "B" stage during "Dirty Dancing, 2 in the morning, & Tonight." We were right up under them so we got a lot of good pics. We came back to our seats after that to watch the rest. When they came out to do the last song we looked at each other and kinda gave a sad face cause we knew it was almost the end of our adventure. I hardly took any pics at the end and just watched Jordan. It was sooo awesome!!!
After they left the stage we sat down and started crying. I know that sounds funny to some people but we couldn't help it. We were very happy we did this and enjoyed every minute, it was just bitter sweet. We pulled it together and left. We decided not to stalk their buses or anything, we had done enough and were happy.
All in all I had the best time ever! So glad I got to do this with my best friend who loves them just as much as I do.
Thank You, Thank You Thank You New Kids. Truely a great experience!!!!
